Vantage Group was built on a wager that most conglomerates get backwards: that operating discipline scales better than financial engineering. Since 1986 we have grown by taking businesses that are already good at one thing — moving freight, clearing payments, running factory floors, hosting infrastructure — and giving them the balance sheet and the patience to become excellent at it.

Today the Group runs five divisions across 46 countries and employs more than 61,000 people. Each division keeps its own leadership, its own roadmap, and its own numbers; the centre’s job is capital allocation, shared infrastructure, and staying out of the way of operators who know their markets better than we do.

We report quarterly because public companies must. We plan in five-year increments because that is how long it actually takes to build something durable — a plant, a platform, a client relationship that survives a recession.
